Job Overview:
In the charge of IT system Administrator at Skylink Distribution (Private) Ltd you will
be responsible for offering IT support in a proactive approach. From the system
authorization to the software installation, trouble shooting, weekly/ monthly maintenance,
software download, hardware support, antivirus check and the connectivity!
You will be leader of a team with active approach toward query raise by employee and
resolve it in a timely manner. The position is primarily based in Head office and
secondary based in client site on requirement basis.
What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
- Responsible for Leading the IT Team and department.
- Conduct maintenance on the computers in the office with a schedule plan.
- Provide instruction to all staff on the proper use of all IT equipment.
- Perform regular software backups.
- Monitor the operation and security of all computer hardware and ensure that it is operating
properly.
- Maintain accurate inventory and record of all hardware, software, and manuals purchased by
the company.
- Must know the knowledge of data/ information keeping in which drives the data will remain
secure. Monitors files and programs that are downloaded onto the computers to make sure
spyware, malware, and other dangerous programs are not downloaded.
- Purchase computer-related equipment, test new pieces of equipment and deal with different vendors. Additionally, keep or maintain records of all IT equipment purchasing items.
- Carry out the repairs and maintenance of all PCs, printers, telephones, interactive systems, key
lock systems, etc.
- Manage and configuration of firewall servers to make data secure.
- Setting up accounts for new users/joiners.
- Must be able to guide, maintain and digitalize data, collect and manipulate data in reliable form.
- Must be able to create the sharing path between the different inter-department systems.
- Check, install and configure hardware as per requirement in all systems.
- Responsible to install new computers, networks will have to be configured to suit the company’s unique needs.
- Peripherals of IT infrastructure has to be set up in order to complement the computer network.
- Maintenance of printers, keyboards, routers, modems, and smart devices.
- Set up peripherals and ensure that they are both functional and secure.
- Check the company’s network for errors, repair malfunctioning peripherals, and help colleagues
troubleshoot problems.
- Keep detailed records of the network’s configurations along with computer hardware installation records, required component specifications, problems and its solutions.
- Able to handle computer networks on an independent basis.
- Must have competent knowledge of cloud base storage and its amplification.
- Make sure that all data storage must be placed on the recommended online cloud.
Requirements:
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills,
attributes)!
A problem solver IT professional with analytical thinking is preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
To come up with 6 – 8 years of experience in both Software and Hardware side
Job role require approx. 10% travelling.
Experience with a shipping, logistics or distribution setup would be an edge.
