Effective: 20 January 2020

Overview

This policy sets out the Skylink Network Pre-Employment Screening Assessment.

Skylink Network has designed a secure policy to ensure that employees at the Network are qualified for the positions for which they are hired. We require standardized tests as means to gauge personality traits, intellect, and skills. In addition, pre-employment is screening used to verify academic records, background, employment history, certification, licenses, and affiliations and the final employment offer is contingent upon the results of screening.

Scope

This policy applies on everyone who works at Skylink Network in any measurements, full-time, part-time or casual, including temporary employees and contractors.

Principles

The hiring authority or a designee at the Skylink Network are responsible for screening all candidates prior to extending an offer of employment (including internal hires). This requires checking and verifying the following information:

  • Educational Verification: It confirms the applicant's claimed educational institution, including the years attended and the degree/diploma received.
  • Skylink Network Social Security Checklist: It gives a snapshot of applicant’s social activities and are based on background investigations and reference checks.
  • Skylink Network Prior Employment Verification: It confirms applicant's employment with the listed companies, including dates of employment, positions held, and any additional information available pertaining to performance ratings, reason for departure, and eligibility for rehire.
  • Background Checks: The final employment offer is contingent upon these checks and are done on final candidates and on all employees, who are promoted, as deemed necessary.

The following additional background searches will be required for some positions:

  • Pictures, national identity cards (NICs), and passports: We also validate licenses and documents, as required by the law.
