TAX Compliance Policy

This policy sets out the Skylink network criteria design for global code of ethics.

Overview

This policy sets out Skylink Network position on approach to tax.

Skylink Network is committed to complying with all applicable local and international tax laws, appropriately utilizing tax incentives in the country, and ensuring our tax affairs are managed with the interest of all stakeholders. Based on the Skylink Network Business Conduct Guidelines, we act with the highest ethical standards transparently and comply with all tax filing and payment obligations in a country we operate and abide by the basic rules to ensure we are duly fulfilling our tax responsibilities.

Scope

This policy applies to everyone who works for Skylink network in any capacity, full-time, part-time, or casual, including temporary employees and contractors.

Principles

The C.E.O and President has endorsed the following principles governing Skylink Network approach for tax compliance:

All personals must:

  • Act as a good corporate citizen, maintain shareholder values, and pay the legally correct amount of tax.
  • Ensure compliance with the tax laws in each country Skylink Network operates and ensure that all tax positions have at least a reasonably arguable position.
  • Operate with transparency, include accurate disclosures to revenue authorities, and maintain an open and co-operative relationship with revenue authorities.
  • Implement a model to identify and escalate tax risks to the Audit and Risk Committee.
  • Maintain the integrity and reputation of Skylink network at all times.

 

Skylink Network manages its tax risks using Tax Risk Management Framework, endorsed by the Risk Auditors and Financial controllers. Tax risk management for Skylink Network involves the process of identifying and assessing all tax risks using the following guidelines:

  • Having processes and documented controls in place in order to mitigate any potential and identified tax risks.
  • Escalating any tax risks within Skylink Network.
  • Assuring that important tax questions are part of commercial decisions.

 

All Skylink Network businesses must:

  • Comply with Tax Risk Management Framework and adhere to Skylink Group operational tax policies and procedures.
  • Meet the tax obligations of their countries.
  • Meet Skylink Group document retention requirements.
  • Identify and escalate all tax risks and related matters to Group Tax when those risks are identified.
  • Identify and report any changes in tax law to accounts and financial controllers, advise them of tax audits, reviews and investigations.
  • Ensure clear risk ownership.

Responsibility

The Tax Compliance Policy shall be implemented by the Compliance Administrator or Designated Personnel to maintain security measurements set out within the Skylink Network.

Compliance and Review

The Administration is responsible for establishing, overseeing, and assessing achievement against measurable objectives in relation to goals set out in this policy.


The Group’s Human Resources and Compliance Department is responsible for all other objectives and initiatives set out in this policy.

Infringement of this Policy

Skylink network has a long-standing commitment to conduct our business in compliance with all applicable local and international laws and regulations and in accordance with the highest ethical business principles and any violations of the policy will lead to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal of personnel/contract cancellation.
