The purpose of this section is to instruct spectators on the resources that underpin maritime transport operations. The resources listed herein typically support maritime operations from Pakistan to worldwide.

KICT

KICT is Pakistan's leading container terminal. Located in the Port of Karachi, west of the Indus Delta on the Arabian Sea, Hutchison Ports KICT has been in operation since 1998. It has three berths equipped with modern container-handling facilities.

  • Project Scope: Equipment includes 11 container quay cranes, 29 rubber-tyred gantry cranes, 8 forklifts, 6 empty container handlers, 10 reach stackers, 66 yard tractors, and 75 yard chassis. The KICT also has 480 reefer plugs.
