Job Overview:

The Research and Development Manager is responsible for the complete development of official company content and data management. Oversee and manage the R&D department's activities to drive innovation and product development. This role requires developing strategies for the company’s R&D initiatives.

Their primary focus is to ensure the development of new procedure and processes, as well as improving existing ones. The role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. It also refers to manage different internal and external teams and other professionals, ensuring task and project timelines are met by maintaining high standards of research quality.

  • Oversee and manage research and development projects to ensure innovation in products, services, and technologies.
  • Lead teams gathering data, and applying findings to service designs, documentation, and other content-related tasks.
  • Ensure that research outcomes align with the company’s overall objectives and market demands.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain accurate technical ISO documentation, including user manuals, guides, product specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure documentation follows industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and internal quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect and document information related to new product features and updates.
  • Supervise the production of printed materials such as brochures, catalogs, reports, and promotional content.
  • Work with graphic designers, print vendors, and external publishers to ensure high-quality output and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee the digital publishing process, ensuring that content is optimized for web and print formats.
  • Review and proofread all written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and company objectives.
  • Conduct thorough checks for technical and factual accuracy, collaborating with subject matter experts when needed.
  • Lead the content creation process, including designing engaging, informative, and visually appealing content for various platforms (digital, print, social media, etc.).
  • Develop instructional and marketing content for both internal and external audiences, ensuring high-quality communication.
  • Create and implement content strategies that align with the company’s goals, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Manage the distribution of data and content across multiple channels and platforms, including digital repositories, social media, and print publications.
  • Develop and oversee systems for ensuring the accurate and efficient dissemination of content to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Implement strategies to track the effectiveness of data distribution and content delivery, making improvements as necessary.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product development, design, and IT to ensure the integration of content into the overall business strategy.
  • Coordinate with external partners, including print vendors, content agencies, and distributors, to deliver high-quality and timely content.
  • Oversee multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines, stay within budget, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure efficient workflow management.
  • Regularly report on project status and adjust plans as needed to meet business objectives
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends in content design, publishing, data distribution, and R&D advancements.
  • Implement new tools, technologies, and strategies to enhance content production, distribution, and R&D processes.

Requirements:

What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)!
One of the key positions which requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Arts and Communication, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline. A certification in content creation, publishing, or R&D is a plus. A combination of at least 3 – 4 years of experience across the combined areas of research and development, documentation, publishing, content design, proofreading, and data management.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative and effective manner. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office).
